"👋Hello! My name is Sam VanWyk, or Ms. V. I graduated from UW Eau Claire in December of 2017 with a major in both Elementary Education and Special Education as well as a minor in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. Over the last six and a half years, I have worked as a Special Education Teacher in Eau Claire at both the middle and elementary levels. I am passionate about understanding each child as a whole individual, beyond just their role as a student, and finding supports and strategies that work best for them. To me, the first step in the journey is identifying and capitalizing on student strengths and interests. My goal is for each student to feel accepted, welcomed, and empowered to put forth their best effort.
I am looking forward to the change to a smaller district and working closely with the community at Eleva Strum."

I am from Osseo, Wi but recently moved to Strum with my significant other and my dog, Dax! 🐶I graduated from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College with an associates degree in Early Childhood Education in December of 2023.👩🏻🎓 I have been working with children for the last 4 years at a childcare center and being a family caregiver! I am looking forward to working alongside many amazing teachers, staff, and students!"

Construction for the greenhouse has started 🌱 and the #OneElevaStrum FFA Alumni have donated $20,000 in support!
For the last 11 years, the alumni have hosted a Big Cup Golf Outing sponsored by area businesses and golfers.

🧀🚍 The Rolling Classroom spent the day in Menominee, exploring the Ellsworth Cheese Factory and hiking to Devil's Punchbowl. What an adventure! 🌲🧀 #OneElevaStrum
🤩Fifth grade had two amazing camp days! The weather was perfect and memories were made! 🌤️We had community members and other staff members share their knowledge/talents, we played outdoor games, and got creative with nature items! Now our fifth graders are on to middle school!📚#OneElevaStrum
🦇 Eleva Strum 2nd graders just finished their module on pollinators and teamed up with Cardinal Manufacturing to build bat-tastic houses for our local bats! These homes will give our winged friends a safe place to hang out. 🏠✨#OneElevaStrum
👮Fifth grade had a special day spent with the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department! There were discussions about drug use, internet safety, and healthy relationships. 🐕We had special visits from the K-9 unit, a drone operator, and a guest speaker that shared his story.
