Students in grades 10 and 11 recently had an incredible opportunity to explore their futures at the Career Fair at Osseo-Fairchild High School, hosted by CESA 10!

The event gave students the chance to discover a variety of career paths, connect directly with industry professionals, and learn more about the many options available after high school.

Even more exciting—several organizations and companies offered on-the-spot interviews for summer jobs and Youth Apprenticeship positions for the upcoming school year! 👏

Experiences like this help our students build confidence, make connections, and take meaningful steps toward their future careers. Thank you to all the businesses and representatives who made this event possible!

🎞️Ms. Onstad’s digital art class is taking on a new focus this semester with a film unit. Each student is creating their own short film, with a film festival planned for the end of the year. Along the way, they’re teaming up to help one another with filming and production.
Students are learning every stage of the filmmaking process, from pre-production to final release, guided by Ms. Onstad’s experience working in the film industry in Los Angeles. Here, a group of students reviews footage from their first day of filming, sharing feedback and reactions with their peers-a cool, candid moment captured in the creative process. #OneElevaStrum

These boys showed great teamwork to built a sun and earth and got the earth to spin. They were able to look through the sun and watch the Lego human spin between day and night!

📚 Course Highlight: Introduction to Criminal Justice ⚖️

This course provides students with a strong framework to understand the ins and outs of the U.S. legal system and how it impacts their lives. Students explore civil law and criminal law through engaging class lectures, readings, discussions, court simulations, and films.

Designed for students in grades 11–12, this course is strongly recommended for those interested in careers in law enforcement, sociology, politics, and other fields related to the legal system.

Intro to Criminal Justice is offered as a transcripted credit class in cooperation with Chippewa Valley Technical College. Students who earn an 80% or higher in the class, also earn a credit from CVTC.

Recently, the class welcomed Village of Strum Chief of Police, Chief Marsolek, who shared real-world insights into his career and experiences in law enforcement.
