Some of the students at the Eleva-Strum Elementary School took a dive into S.T.E.M, the combination of Science, Technology Engineering and Math. This experience started with 2nd grade teacher Mrs. Anderson reading the story, The Pigeon HAS to Go to School to the students in grades 1-3. Following the story the students were given a STEM challenge to design and build a catapult that would launch Pigeon into the Eleva-Strum Elementary School Building. The students from different grade levels were grouped together to work on this challenge, which allowed them to collaboratively work on developing their creativity, critical thinking, and communication skills. In the end, Pigeon did get to school!!
