High School Philosophy:

We believe that the role of the Eleva-Strum High Schools is to ensure that our students are college ready, career ready and life ready. We believe that our students are driven by ideas and innovations and our job is to foster those in a safe environment where risk is encouraged and they feel like they belong. We believe that students should leave our school with the grit and perseverance to tackle and achieve their own goals by actualizing skills of self-awareness, self-management, social-awareness, responsible decision making and relationship skills.

We have built rigorous academic programs, personalized and career-specific learning experiences, and embedded social and emotional skill instruction tailored to prepare our students to be engaged citizens in our ever-changing world.  Our staff works hard to collaborate and foster strong relationships with our community that result in collaborative partnerships of authentic and innovative student-learning experiences. We understand that students learn in a variety of ways and we implement a guaranteed, viable and rigorous curriculum that enables them to demonstrate their readiness for life after high school in a variety of ways. 

We encourage each high school student to participate in a wide variety of extra-curricular activities to build off of their strengths and interests. We encourage each student to enroll in at least one dual credit opportunity while in high school and are purposeful in building supports that ensure their success.  We encourage students to participate in at least one work-linked learning experience.  We work hard to foster in students a growth mindset that empowers them to approach their future with confidence, to dream big and to achieve big.
