Cardinal Manufacturing, a student run machine shop at the Eleva-Strum High School, is o to a great start with 21 junior and senior students in this year’s program. Making up the talent includes 9 machinists, 7 welders, and an additional 5 students as production manager, engineer, o ce manager, marketing manager and maintenance.

After a working summer, the shop has some new equipment including a new band saw, Miller mig welder, and a tumbler to reduce deburring time in Cardinal Manufacturing. Everyone is excited for these added capabilities. Cardinal Manufacturing is always working towards “Filling the Skills Gap, One Student at a Time.”

Besides the day to day excitement, a few Cardinal Manufacturing students and Mr. Cegielski took a trip to Indianapolis the rst part of September to present at a Modern Machine Shop Conference. They also accepted a Top Shop Award for Matt Guse, MRS Machining, Augusta. In addition to their trip, they did some lming with IMTS Show TV and Modern Machine Shop. A big THANK YOU goes to Modern Machine Shop and all of our supporters.
